History of Seattle Municipal Railway's Division C, the streetcar line that once connected Burien with White Center and Seattle.

Seattle Ordinace 65376

Order for reconstruction of the streetcar line.

This ordinance hints at the end of the streetcar line. "WHERAS, a portion of the railway line to White Center has been destroyed by slides and it is deemed necessary, in order to provide adequate transportation to said district, that same be replaced by the construction hereinafter described and refered to."

Although $38,648.05 was appropriated, the line never reopened. The intention was to extend the line down West Marginal and up Highland Park Way to 9th, avoiding the slide-prone hills of what is now called the West Duwamish Greenbelt.

Passed into law May 15, 1935.
