Seattle Ordinance 32607

An ordinance authorizing and directing the Board of Public Works to make necessary repairs and alterations to the roadbed, track and appurtenances of the Lake Burien Railway line, appropriating money therefor, and providing for the transfer of moneys from the general fund to the Lake Burien Railway fund as a temporary loan for such purposes.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That the Board of Public Works be and it is hereby authorized and directed to make such repairs and alterations and to perform such construction work as may be necessary to place the roadbed, track and appurtenances of the Lake Burien Railway line in condition for efficient operation, and the sum of $ 25,OOO.OO , or so much thereof, as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Lake Burien Railway fund for such purposes.
Section 2. The sum of t 25,OOO.OO — is hereby appropriated from the general fund to be paid into the Lake Burien Railway fund to enable the Board of Public Works to carry out the requirements of Section 1 hereof, such appropriation to be a temporary loan and repaid to the general fund as soon as money shall be available from income derived from operation or from the issuance of any general or utility bonds that may be authorized for such purposes.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty days from and after its passage and approval if approved by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect at the time it shall become a law under the provisions of the city charter.
