Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Street Clock

Downtown Walk > Clock #9
Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Street Clock

Directions: From the Colman Dock ferry terminal, head east across the pedestrian overpass to First and Marion. Turn right on First and head one block to Columbia. Turn left and go one block to Second. The clock will be to your right on Second. Five minute walk.

The building is the Foster and Marshall Building, which was built in 1921. Currently the property is owned and occupied by United Way of King County. The clock was brought from California in the 1970's by Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank. Letters inscribed on the clock make historians suspect that it originally belonged to Pacific Securities.
