F. X. McRory's Street Clock

Downtown Walk > Clock #3
F. X. McRory's Street Clock

Directions: From King Street Station, head two blocks west on Jackson. Turn left on Occidental and travel south one block to King. A three minute walk.

Opened in 1977, F.X. McRory's is a "Steak, Chop, an Oyster House" in Pioneer Square. The clock was built in Seattle by Mayer Bros. It's the same model as Benton and Johnson. This one was originally on 1st and Union at Frank Briggs, then owned by jeweler Harry Taintor. It was in front of a home on Magnolia for a number of years, and made its way to another home in Kirkland. Finally F.X. McRory's was able to purchase the clock from a collector.
