Hickory Dickory Dock Clock

Downtown Walk > Clock #11
Hickory Dickory Dock Clock

Directions: From Pioneer Square Station, you can try taking a train to University Street Station and exit to 3rd Avenue. If you're walking, head north on 3rd Avenue six blocks to University Street. Ten or fifteen minute walk.

This clock was created as part of the Metro bus tunnel. Carol Valenta from Sound Transit provided some great input to me: "Near the corner of Third and University is a street clock designed by artist Heather Ramsay. The 14-foot pendulum clock is made of steel with a polished copper finish. The clock includes a small brass mouse running up the side in reference to the "Hickory-Dickory Dock" nursery rhyme. It's the artist's way of reminding us of the time that has passed since childhood."
