Seattle Municipal Credit Union Sign Clock

Warning!! This clock has been removed!

Here was the information before its circa 2014 demise.

Directions: From Pendulum, travel east on University to 5th Avenue. Turn left. Three minutes' walk.

This clock was installed in 1989 in memorial to James M. Ryan, the developer of Rainier Square. In 2006 the corner retail was expanded, and the clock was moved from a small plaza to a cramped space next to the building.

Rainier Square was built in 1977, designed by Minoru Yamasaki. Mr. Yamasaki was a Seattle-born Japanese American, and had previously designed the World Trade Center in New York.
