{9} Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union
Directions: From Pioneer Square Station, exit at the Public Safety Building on 3rd and Cherry. Head north one block. Five minute walk.
Okay, it's a digital clock. It still serves its time keeping purpose! And no other clock on this tour will tell you what the temperature is. If you're doing this in summer you may need reassurance that you aren't in hell after your trek up from the waterfront (hopefully you took a break on the bus tunnel escalators). This clock is hanging on the side of the Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union. It's the only digital clock I know of downtown, and one of only two bank buildings with clocks on the walk (I don't count Washington Mutual because they don't maintain the clock and they're moving soon).
Seattle Municipal Credit Union was Washington's first credit union in 1933. This location opened in 1979. The clock was installed in 2000.
